The school was promoted by the Child Education Society to cater for the needs of residents of Solan. It is co-educational school with Montessori, Primary and Upper Primary Departments with co-ordinator for each department working as a team.
The school started in 2012 and registration for classes Montessori-I & II was opened from April 2012. Initially the school was started with four students and one teacher. At present Bal Bharati Solan has 112 students and 11 teachers. The management and staff strove hard to provide infrastructure and all the facilities to the students as swiftly as possible.
